Oh, good heavens, no! People are bad enough at driving in 2D.
Plus you'd get heavier whenever it rained. What if you ran out of fuel on the way home? Imagine having to lug one of those on your back for half a mile.
I think the biggest change would involve the phrase "fender bender" gaining a whole new meaning.
